This was always going to be a tough match to win, even with a full team.
With Stuart having a call up to Mixed A, we had a junior man stepping in at the last minute when nobody else was available to play.
Sam was still injured and her replacement was ill on the day, so another junior from Woodbridge stepped in to make sure we did not lose points.
The two juniors played really well with a couple of old hands to guide them. Considering they were playing at a much higher level than they normally play they put in a good performance. I was pleased to see them enjoying the game and push the opposition, even though they did not win any games.
The only points of the night came from the regular pair of James and Sue getting two haves, meaning the match was lost 8-1.
